Good morning XG/Yamaha people...

Before anything, I wish you all a good and happy year 2024...!

I know today is not the best day of the year to come here with my doubts and questions...but I have no rush and if you wish to help me, please do it at your best convenience...!

I recently took on the monumental task of building an Android-based controller for my MU10 and I wanted to make full use of its QS300 features. I have been using XG Manager as a working reference and I noticed that it only sends QS300 parameter changes through bulk dump messages. Likewise, the only mention of any QS300 functionality in the MU10's manual is in the QS300 bulk dump table. To your knowledge, is that the limit of the MU10's configurability wrt QS300 parameter changes?

Dear Mark

I would like the following explanation (or the like) to be put into the XG Manager manuals.  If you agree, you can delete my previous posts as to XG Manager not working.

Hello there!

I am very glad that I stumbled upon this site / to find out that there are still ppl interested in both XG Midi as well as QS voices.

The first question I had I think I already found an answer to in the FAQ on the main page, regarding which would be the oldest supported OS for these Apps. Apparently it is Win2k/XP. Due to the fact that I have a SW60XG residing in an older computer that operates under Win98, 2k and XP, I was wondering whether the XG Manager would run on that machine.

Hello, as XG Manager is capable of sending all its current parameter data via sysex to an XG synth, is it also capable of saving the same system exclusive data directly to a .syx file, and if not would it be possible to implement this feature?

Thanks!

I have just downloaded the 64-bit portable edition of XG Manager version 1.6.1 and extracted it to a brand new folder (i.e. no configuration files left over from

the previous version).

I have had a SW60XG ISA-bus sound card and now have its stand-alone equivalent the MU10. Both these accept QS300 bulk dumps (FO 43 00 4B nn nn 11 nn 00 ...) and use of Bank MSB 63 LSB 0.
