The "Device ID" is not usually available to be changed by Midi.
I can't find Device ID on a menu option in the XV2020 owners manual or the service manual.
My XV3080 has Device ID in the SYSTEM area in the same place as the "Receive System Exclusive" switch.
I can't even find a Sysex Receive switch to toggle on and off.
Without these it looks like you can't Midi daisy chain on the XV2020.
Depending on what you want to do, I guess, you could physically switch between units. Perhaps you could get a DPDT (double pole double throw ) switch and wire a Midi splitter cable from it.
Then have two identical BC presets to swap between so the values don't jump.
You could, of course, do it with a PC and a multi port Midi interface.
Can you use CC message on different channels to do what you want to do instead?
Perhaps if you let me what you are trying to do I could suggest something else.

Loving the idea of physical switches
Hi, I have emailed Roland support, maybe they will know....
It's an annoyance, especially as it should be doable
