FCB1010 manager not recognizing FCB pedal board

My surfacebook 3 laptop will not recognize the FCB1010 as an enable device inside of the manager. I use the FCB1010 with my desktop and it works perfectly. It should show up as my external sound card Tascam US-144MKII but there is nothing there. I have 2 neural dsp plugins installed and they recognize the soundcard and work fine. I troubleshooted the issue by pluging in a MIDI keyboard and it recognized it right away. I've downloaded all three of the installers from mountain utiliites and checked for the latest update. I've checked the MIDI cables. Nothing makes the manager recognize the pedalboard as an enabled device. Also, the MIDI send and receive icons on the manager are grayed out. They should be red and green. Can anybody help. I use this for gigs and would really like to bring a laptop instead of a desktop. thanks

Nothing makes the manager recognize the pedalboard as an enabled device.

FCB1010 Manager has to be configured correctly to communicate with an FCB1010:

  1. In the "MIDI devices" dialog box (accessible from the main window's Options pull-down menu) the MIDI input and output devices connecting to the FCB1010 must be enabled by checkmarks. (If your intended MIDI I/O devices aren't listed in this dialog box, there is a problem with these MIDI I/O devices themselves or with their driver installed in the operating system.)
  2. In the "FCB1010 options" dialog box (accessible from the same pull-down menu), the same MIDI I/O devices should be selected as "MIDI input port" and "MIDI output port".
