Hi Mark,,
After owning 3 BCR2000's for years, I bought a FCB1010 now and because programming it on the unit itself was a bit of pain in the ass, I googled for an editor, guess where I found one? :D I was very surprised to land here again. I unscrewed it to see what chip was in it (2.5e) but later I noticed there is a window in the options menu that shows it...can your software really recognice this?
No, FCB1010 Manager has no way of figuring out which chip an FCB1010 contains.
However, FCB1010 Manager behaves differently, based on the chip that you have told it your FCB1010 contains.
The FCB1010 Manager manual specifies these differences under "Options -> FCB1010" in section 6 ("The main window").
These differences concern firmware version 2.5's "tap-tempo function".
Hope this helps,
Mark.
