Changing the channel on multiple selected buttons/encoders

Hello,

I have a newbie question. Is it possible to change the channel on multiple selected buttons/encoders? I have a preset that I would like to copy into 8 preset slots, the ontly thing that would change is the channel for each of the presets. It's onerous to have to go through and change the channel on each encoder, button.

I did could not find anything about this in the manual.

Thanks for any help you might be able to offer.

Solved it - Simple Controler Change. Oh newbie, read more closely :-)

Gah. When you use the Simple CC change, it clears out any special work you have done to the encoders/buttons - so my original question needs to be refined. Is there any way to change the Channel on a selected group of encoders/buttons without losing any special work (IE setting default values) on them?

Yes, as you discovered, Simple CC generates complete button/encoder/fader definitions. So that's the opposite of what you want.

As explained in the BC Manager manual, section 7 ('Tutorials'), subsection "Setting up individual elements (buttons, encoders and faders)", you should use the "Parameter" menu to change only one parameter of multiple elements.
So in a button/encoder/fader list window, you should preselect a range of buttons/encoders/faders, then execute Parameter -> Channel.
The Presets window offers a similar Parameter menu: by preselecting one or more presets, you can change the MIDI channels of all the buttons, encoders and (on a BCF2000) faders of these presets in one go!

Got it! Thank-you, Mark. This works like a charm. BTW, I cannot imagine owning a BCR2000 without BC Manager. It is a great package.
