Hi, would it be possible to convert Fantom XR patches to SonicCell patches? it would be great to have all Fantom XR unique patches in SonicCell. thanks in advance
hi, (1) nvm, it is probably not worth the effort. I can confirm that SonicCell vst editor v1.20 doesnt work in cubase 5 / later versions, it is a known bug since 2009. it works in cubase 4 though. (btw, fantom G vst editor also doesnt work in cubase 5 / later versions) https://forums.rolandclan.com/viewtopic.php?t=30043 https://forums.rolandclan.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=28779 I don't like cubase 4, and without the vst editor, imho it is almost pointless to use SonicCell.
(2) regarding patches, no, not the same, many SonicCell patches are similar to Juno Stage, but some fantom X patches are missing,
(3) do you happen to know if fantom X and XV standalone editors are capable of total recall (for settings)? I don't have any fantom X and XV devices to test this.
Both the FantomX and the XV have Library programs that will download all memory, but you have to go through each of the 'Modes' from the drop down box and do a Read All.
On the FanX you may need to drop into Menu /Library mode.
Once you have finished you can either Export All as a Standard Midi File (SMF) or File/Duplicate and save this to disk.

Hi
As far as I know the FanXR factory presets are the same as the FanX one (and have already been converted to SonicCell), but I will have a look.
On the US site the Patch list document for the FanXR is the 'Fantom_X678_ SList.pdf', so I believe the patches are the same.
Let me know if that's not the case and where I can get the FanXR patches from.
