Hello,
I'm searching someone to import two JV-1080 sysex in a XV-5080 (or XV-3080/5050/2020) and send me those two banks in the XV sysex format.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/jz5efqbafxis2x0/JV-1080.zip?dl=0
This archive contains the two JV-1080 sysex files. It's a compilation of various presets from JV-80 and JV-1080 found on internet and built in the end of 90s.
Any help would be fantastic.
Best regards
C+
Hi,
the XV series can load JV1080 sysex without any conversion.
Check out this SOS article - https://www.soundonsound.com/techniques/roland-xv-jv-masterclass-part-1#para7
So I assume you have an XV? Perhaps you don't.
I am happy to load the files into my XV3080 and then save them as XV, but I don't use dropbox.
Email me it at INFO AT Bwalk DOT COM DOT AU all lowercase
Alll the best
Royce
Thank you C+ for posting the question, I was looking for the same solution.
Thank you Royce for posting that link. Much appreciated.
Have a great day.
Hello C +, you managed to convert the patches to the roland XV format, can you help me?
thanks
Best Regards
Hi Mib1,
I am happy to load some more files into my XV3080 and then save them as XV sysex.
Email me it at INFO AT Bwalk DOT COM DOT AU all lowercase
eg "name@site.com.au" with the files attached.
Stay well
Royce
Hi Royce,
thanks for your help, i will send an email to you today or tomorrow
Best Regards
HI Royce,
Sorry, but did you receive my e-mail?
Best regards
No I didn't. I thought there must be a problem.
"info" is the name and "bwalk" is the site - Just sustitue in the address in red in my last post.
Sorry, all this just to stop spammers filling up my email box
If you don't hear back in a day or so after you send a new email then give me your email address here at the forum and I'll send an email to you.
That should fix any email filtering on my side.
Stay well
Royce
Hello,Royce, yes, I think I better put my email on your forum, maybe it's some spam problem ... my email:

Hi Royce,

Hi Mib1,
The files should be there. Let me know if there are any problems.
Royce
Greetings guys from the USA... First I would like to thank Royce & the awesome contributors over at roland-clan for the SR-JV-80 Fantom X conversion files... Also wanted to ask if anyone had the tools to convert JV/XV SVD files to Fantom format? Someone in the past created a utility program to do so, but I lost contact... He was able to convert several requested banks personally that I still have.. Best regards to everyone...
Hi jayteejr
as you can see from ther above messages anyone with an XV can convert from JV with a pretty close result and I am happy to do it for you on my XV3080 if you want to send it to me. Perhaps you could save me a step by converting from JV SVD to Standard Midi File (SMF) or System Exclusive. There is usually an option in the File menu of the lilbrarian to 'Export as SMF'
As for XV to Fantom, as far as I remember, the patches just loaded as the first Fantom was really just a souped up XV.
The FantomS had a change in the sysex id and the waves were renamed and their position changed and so needs conversion.
The FantomX is a FantomS with more waves and extra effects - not much to convert there and anyway you can export from the FantomS Library as an SMF and import into the FantomX Library program - all from Roland.
My (very ugly and unstable. quick to program) converter can take the XV files and can convert (basically waves, effect position and change of parameters) to FantomS, FantomX and SonicCell. If you want to convert the JV to any of thoes models I am also happy to do it for you.
Attach the file to an email at INFO AT Bwalk DOT COM DOT AU all lowercase
eg "name@site.com.au"
Stay well.
All the best
Royce
Hey Royce, appreciate your time with doing the conversion... I'll be back at the computer on Monday & I'll send over the JV/XV SVD files then... I believe it's only 2 or 3 as most others were already converted... Thx again for the service... Best Regards..
Hi, I'm an xv2020 user, this sounds interesting. Will you make this available here?
